CAPE TOWN - Another shooting, believed to be gang-related, has claimed a life in Philippi, Cape Town on Saturday.

Western Cape police have opened cases of murder and attempted murder following a shooting at the corner of Kraal and Schaapkraal roads on Saturday morning.

Officers reportedly found a stationary vehicle with two men inside, both in their mid-30s, who had been shot.

One victim died on scene, while the other was rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie said no arrests have been made yet.

"The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated and the motive appears to be gang-related. The suspect/s is yet to be arrested. We appeal to anyone with information to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or via the MySAPS mobile application."
