Police appeal for info on fatal shooting of 2 men in Steenberg

CAPE TOWN - Police are appealing for information from the community as the hunt continues for gunmen behind a shooting in Steenberg.

On Monday, two men were killed on an open field in broad daylight.

The police's Wesley Twigg: "The motive for the attack is believed to be gang-related. According to reports, the victims were walking in the street when a white vehicle stopped next to them and the occupants started shooting at them. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested. Anyone with any information about the shooting incident is kindly requested to contact Crime Stop on 08600 1011."
