The Correctional Supervision and Parole Board has recommended that the convicted killer of university student, Leigh Matthews, be released on parole.

The board held a hearing on Monday at the Leeuwkop prison, where Donovan Moodley is serving a life sentence.

Moodley pleaded guilty to Matthews’ abduction and murder in 2004, when she was 21.

Her father, Rob, questioned how the board came to its decision to consider paroling the convict.
