A memorial service for the three siblings who died in a shack fire in Tembisa on Saturday morning will take place on Wednesday.
The blaze ripped through their home at the Phumasilwe informal settlement.
The memorial will be held at the Sedibeng Primary School in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni.
The three siblings, aged 17, 15 and 13, were home alone when the fire struck.
The blaze also completely destroyed the shack and their belongings but it is not clear what caused the fire.
Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi will be in attendance.
“The premier will join the community of Tembisa, learners, educators, and the family of the bereaved to offer his heartfelt support and condolences during this period of profound grief and loss,” said the premier’s spokesperson, Sizwe Pamla.
The mother has been arrested and charged with child negligence.
