Lawyers representing MK Party argue bid to challenge Madlanga Commission is urgent

Lawyers representing the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party have argued that their bid to challenge the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry is urgent.
The court is hearing arguments on whether the matter is urgent first.

In July, the party approached the Constitutional Court with the same bid but was denied direct access.
They have now brought their case to the High Court and have argued that the president violated his constitutional obligation by suspending Police Minister Senzo Mchunu and appointing Firoz Cachalia as the acting police minister.
