On Thursday, Sadie secured a bronze medal in the S7 50m butterfly, while he earned another bronze in the S7 100m backstroke on Wednesday.

Sadie, competing in the S7 category, faces unique challenges due to radial club hands, a congenital condition that affects the development of his radius bone. In his case, this has resulted in the absence of the bone, causing his forearms to be shorter and his hands to bend inward.

An accomplished athlete, Sadie has represented South Africa at the Tokyo Paralympics and has previously secured a silver medal at the World Para Swimming Championships in Madeira, Portugal, along with another silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast. His record-breaking achievements continued at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, where he shattered three African records.
