Woman accused of murdering boyfriend due in court

A Johannesburg woman accused of murdering her boyfriend will appear at the Alexandra Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

The suspect was arrested in the early hours of Monday at an apartment complex in Midrand.  

It is reported that she stabbed her partner in the chest, and he succumbed to his injuries.  

Police said they received a complaint of a stabbing from an apartment in Noordwyk following the attack.

Upon arriving, they found the 31-year-old man lying on the floor with stab wounds, with the 22-year-old woman next to him. 

Police found the knife, believed to be the murder weapon, near the body of the deceased. 

The victim is believed to be an employee of the Greater Giyani municipality in Limpopo.
