Today marks day two of one of the world's biggest jazz festivals, the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, where festival-goers at the Blue Note stage can expect to be spoiled with a plethora of phenomenal performances from world-renowned artists.

Approximately 20 artists are set to perform across several stages until the final day of the festival.

The first day of Joy of Jazz was marked by nothing less than mastery and true craftsmanship from celebrated world-class artists, ranging from the spell-binding, sophisticated, and intricate sounds of South Africa’s Thandi Ntuli to Lakecia Benjamin’s special treats that take one through the different sonic American experiences.

The second day is set to bring more splendid gifts to festival-goers. South African jazz artist Benjamin Jephta, who will be performing tonight, says people should be ready to be moved by the sounds of his music.

"I think it's definitely going to be a high-energy set," Jephta said. "Some people said it's gonna be a jazz party, so we're gonna kind of just celebrate the music, just vibe out on stage, kind of, very exciting, very fast-paced, energetic set, and it's gonna be a journey."

Jephta added that his performance is set to bring people into the journey of his story.
