Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema will return to the East London Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
He has been in court for two days awaiting judgment, but much of the time was spent with presiding Magistrate Twanet Olivier giving a recap of all testimonies presented during the trial.
She explained that this recap is intended to provide Malema with context on how the court reached its decision.
Malema, along with his bodyguard, Adriaan Snyman, faces charges under the Firearms Control Act, including unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
He is alleged to have discharged a firearm during a 2018 rally in Mdantsane, in close proximity to a large crowd of EFF supporters.
Magistrate Olivier has confirmed that judgment proceedings will resume early on Wednesday.
