Top cop Masemola assures nation Khumalo in good spirits

National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola has assured South Africans that Crime Intelligence boss Dumisani Khumalo is in good spirits and receiving medical attention.
Khumalo was scheduled to appear before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Wednesday to continue his testimony into the alleged infiltration of the criminal justice system by criminal syndicates.

But Khumalo left the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria just after 9 on Wednesday morning, after he started feeling unwell.
"General Masemola is in contact with the senior officer and confirms that he is in good spirits and taking health advice from his physician. The general's health is receiving priority and the Madlanga Commission will be kept abreast of all developments pertaining to his condition as well as when he will be available to continue with his testimony," said police spokesperson, Athelenda Mathe.
