3 people die in Pretoria crash

Gauteng traffic authorities have confirmed that three people who died in a crash in Pretoria were all occupants of a light motor vehicle.

It's understood that the car collided with a minibus taxi on the R101 on Wednesday night, causing massive delays.

Spokesperson Obed Sibasa said the road had since been reopened after a clean-up operation.

"Gauteng traffic police and other authorities dealt with a fatal vehicle crash last night on the R101, near Sinoville, Tshwane, that involved two vehicles. Three occupants of a light motor vehicle Fiesta died on the scene and several from the Quantum suffered serious to moderate injuries and were transported to various hospitals."
