Rise Mzansi, Bosa and the Good Party have united to form one political party 'Unite for Change'.
Unite for Change will be registered as a new political party to contest the upcoming local government elections.
Despite this move the three parties will still continue to exist independently.
The announcement was made during a media briefing in Johannesburg on Sunday afternoon.
Bosa deputy president Nobantu Hlazo-Webster said that this is not a coalition of convenience but a coming together of equals.
"Today, three national political parties, and their respective leaders, have heard the call of the nation, put aside their differences, and taken the formative steps towards building an offering for citizens to unite around in bringing change and hope to villages, towns and cities across South Africa," said Hlazo-Webster.
