The six flotilla activists who were detained by Israel are set to return to South Africa on Wednesday morning.
The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) confirmed that the group of six South African activists had been released after being detained for days.
The group, which was part of 400 other activists from around the world, was intercepted while trying to reach Gaza to deliver aid.

It has been a week since activists from around the world were captured while sailing through the Mediterranean to deliver aid to war-stricken Gaza.
But after global outcry and reports of activists being held in inhumane conditions, this week DIRCO announced that the South Africans who were held would be released from detention and would be departing from Jordan.
The group is expected to land at the OR Tambo International Airport on Wednesday morning, with family, friends and supporters ready to welcome them.
DIRCO will then lead a press conference with the activists.
