Student organisations say they will resist any attempts to remove them from the university’s premises on Thursday.
The leadership organisations say students were not involved in the recent acts of violence seen on campus, saying external individuals were attempted to move attention away from pressing issues faced by students.
They say that their protest, which was sparked by the institution’s plan to appoint an interim SRC during the amendment of the student governance constitution, is peaceful.
They added that the only communication they were willing to accept was the Vice chancellor Sakhela Buhlungu’s resignation letter.
