National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola believes he is "beyond reproach" in his role as the country’s top cop.

Fannie Masemola is back in Parliament to wrap up his testimony and to engage with members of the committee.
The first question to Masemola came from ActionSA MP, Dereleen James, who asked whether he agreed that a national police commissioner should be fit for purpose for the job.
"Anyone holding the position of national commissioner should be beyond reproach, do you agree? Are you beyond reproach?"
Masemola agreed that he was the man for the job.
"That’s correct, honourable chairperson."
Masemola also told the committee that he was reluctant to say whether Mchunu should be arrested, saying he can’t comment because there’s a case against the minister being investigated.
