Nathi Mthethwa's remains to arrive in KZN ahead of Special Official Funeral

The body of the late South African Ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, is expected to arrive in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) on Friday afternoon via the OR Tambo International Airport.
All preparations to receive the body of Mthethwa have been concluded at the King Shaka International Airport in Durban.
His family said his remains will be kept at a mortuary in Empangeni, northern KZN.

African National Congress(ANC) members in KZN are preparing a memorial service which will be held in Empangeni. Meanwhile, his former colleagues, family, and friends will gather at the Empangeni Town Hall to pay tribute to the former minister.
On Thursday, ANC national leaders visited the Mthethwa homestead in Kwambonambi. The party's Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula, expressed the loss of a great leader.
“We in the ANC have lost a giant, we’ve lost a great leader of our movement. Leadership is not defined in terms of positions; your deeds and character define leadership,” Mbalula said.
Mthethwa will be laid to rest on Sunday with a Special Official Funeral - Category 2. The funeral is set to take place at Dondotha Stadium in Kwambonambi.
