Adventure lovers, film buffs and outdoor enthusiasts will once again gather to celebrate epic stories of courage, nature and human spirit as the Cape Town Adventure Film Festival (CTAFF) kicks off at the V&A Waterfront.

The 2025 edition kicks off soon, on 17 October, with the opening night at the Ster-Kinekor complex at the V&A Waterfront.

There are three other venues showcasing these mindblowing adventure movies - the Labia Theatre (Gardens), Jack Black's Taproom (Diep River) and the Orms Cape Town School of Photography (Gardens).

Not only does the passionate organising team bring audiences a collection of both top local and international productions, they also help forge a community around nature and adventure values, says outdoor correspondent Jeff Ayliffe.

'Come ready to be inspired, connect with fellow adventure enthusiasts, and witness the magic that happens when great stories meet passionate audiences', the website proclaims.

The films span the breadth of the adventure genre; with stories from different disciplines, human experiences and landscapes, featuring legends in their specific sports.

This year, the festival offering includes 21 locally made films.

The Cape Town Adventure Film Festival runs from 17 October to 1 November.

Tickets are selling fast, so don't miss out!
