iZinga Assist aims to give donors and non-profit organisations (NPOs) peace of mind.
The digital verification, compliance, and ratings platform ensures that donations go to verified, transparent, and impactful non-profits, giving donors and NPOs peace of mind.
With over 300,000 non-profits in South Africa, many donors are sceptical about giving money to causes they don't know about, says co-founder and chairperson Derek Lubner.
"The perception is that NGOs are not great, and they are stealing money. We say the opposite.
"[Non-profits] are the lifeblood of the country, and we want to make sure that the ones that are sustainable and fundable are rated and verified by us so that donors can give them money with confidence," he says.
The platform also provides additional support for marketing, contracting, and business through templates and other resources.
"Most NPOs start with the best of intentions, and their hearts are full of gold and they want to do good, but they are not skilled in business, marketing, finance, or legal," Lubner adds.
