A former St John's Preparatory School teacher accused of decades-long sexual abuse of children will appear at the Johannesburg High Court on Wednesday for pre-trial.
The 52-year-old man was arrested in 2021 after a former pupil at the school reported him for alleged abuse that took place years before.
The man faces 25 charges, including assault, grooming and child abuse.
The former teacher was employed by the school in 2002 and resigned in 2014.
Between 2005 and 2006, he allegedly sexually assaulted one of his learners, who opened up about the assault in 2021.
This led to more victims coming forward and opening cases against the 52-year-old man.
The former teacher was arrested in 2021 and on Wednesday, he will appear at the Johannesburg High Court, where his cases will be consolidated as one.
