CEO Mafu Rakometsi said that while there were some areas of concern, they were not systemic and will not compromise the 2025 matric exams.
In auditing the state of readiness of the system, Umalusi uses a framework that looks at various focus areas.
The latest audit process was conducted between 11 August and 9 October across all nine provinces - Umalusi said that over 1 million candidates were registered across the four assessment bodies to sit for the 2024 end-of-year national exams.
Rakometsi said that while some of the assessment bodies presented still had some areas of concern, they would not hinder the examination from taking place.
"For that reason, I can report that by and large, the system is ready to administer the 2025 end-of-year national exams."
He said all concerns had been brought to the attention of the relevant heads of departments.
