Sam Rivers, the founding bassist of Limp Bizkit, has died at the age of 48, the band announced on Saturday.

Limp Bizkit, formed in Jacksonville, Florida, rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with a groundbreaking blend of rock and hip-hop, led by frontman Fred Durst. Rivers played a crucial role in shaping the band’s sound and also contributed backup vocals.
The band gained massive popularity with hits like 'Break Stuff', 'Nookie', 'Re-Arranged', and 'My Way', with Rivers’ bass lines providing the foundation for their signature energy.
