The kidnapping case against alleged baby snatcher, Sameemah Jacobs, was delayed again on Tuesday after her Legal Aid lawyer was granted a postponement.

Jacobs allegedly abducted nine-day-old Imaad Sharmar from his mother at the Middestad Mall in Bellville while pretending she was a volunteer for an NPO.

Police returned the baby to its mother two days after the abduction in June this year.

Jacobs's Legal Aid lawyer on Tuesday told the court that she was not ready to proceed with a hearing to amend her client's bail conditions.

Jacobs was granted bail with strict conditions to stay out of Mitchells Plain, where Baby Imaad and his mother, Imaan Sharmar, reside.

Three weeks ago, Jacobs made a request for the court to amend her bail conditions for her to visit Mitchells Plain to fetch her belongings.

However, since then, she has had three different Legal Aid lawyers, and the application is yet to be made.

"The client gave me this document, your worship, and before I can proceed with the application, I would like to peruse this document, your worship."

Magistrate Gcobani Ndaleni granted Jacobs's lawyer until next Thursday to submit the application.
