Slain Mamelodi cousins Baleseng and Tshiamo to be laid to rest

Two young women who were shot and killed in Mamelodi last week will be laid to rest on Saturday in Limpopo.
Cousins, 21-year-old Baleseng and 22-year-old Tshiamo Moramaga, were attacked by a man one of them was allegedly romantically involved with following a night out on Sunday, 26 October.
Their funeral service is being held in their hometown in Groblesdal, Limpopo.
The gruesome killing of the two young women sparked public outrage, with activists calling for an end to gender-based violence.
A video of their bodies lying on the side of the road made the rounds on social media after they were discovered by a neighbour.
It is alleged the girls were shot by 38-year-old Tebogo Mnisi, who is believed to have been the boyfriend of one of the girls.
A third victim was shot during the incident but survived.
Mnisi was nabbed by the police days after the incident.
He made his first court appearance on Wednesday, where he abandoned his bail application.
He remains behind bars facing two counts of murder andone of attempted murder.
Mnisi also faces a charge of possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.
He is expected back in court on January 19th, 2026.
