Suspect arrested in connection with Reiger Park mass shooting released

The suspect arrested in connection with to a drive-by mass shooting in Reiger Park, Boksburg, has been released due to insufficient evidence.
The 23-year-old was nabbed on Monday following investigations conducted by the anti-gang unit.
The arrest came a few days after the tragic shooting, which left six people dead and three injured.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, said there were ongoing investigations into the matter.
"The docket was not placed on the court roll due to insufficient evidence. But the investigations on this matter continue and an 18-year-old was brought in for questioning today, 05 November 2025."
