The South African Policing Union (SAPU) said it's concerned about the arrest of police officers for allegedly committing crimes in Cape Town.
At least 20 police officers in the metro have been arrested for various crimes in the past 12 months.
Recently, four officers attached to the Bellville Rapid Railway office were arrested for allegedly stealing more than R18,000 from a shop in Delft.
They were nabbed last weekend and appeared in court on Wednesday to apply for bail.
"SAPU Western Cape continues to call on all law enforcement members to conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and honesty. Our communities deserve a police service they can trust and building that trust begins with us," said SAPU acting provincial secretary, Merae Otto.
