Well-known musician arrested in Bendor, Polokwane for attempted murder

JOHANNESBURG - A 30-year-old well-known musician has been arrested in Bendor, Polokwane on two counts of attempted murder.
 
In October, the suspect allegedly had a confrontation with another motorist where he opened fire, injuring a 34-year-old who was rushed to a local hospital after sustaining severe injuries.
 
The case was initially opened at Westernburg Police Station and later transferred to the provincial investigation unit for further investigation, where a warrant of arrest was obtained, subsequently leading to the suspect's arrest on Wednesday morning.
 
Police spokesperson in Limpopo, Maselela Ledwaba:
 
"During the operation, police seized the suspect's vehicles for forensic analysis as part of ongoing investigations. The provincial commissioner of police in Limpopo, Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe, has commended the investigation and operational teams for their meticulous work and swift action. She reiterated that no one is above the law, regardless of their social standing."
