A well-known South African musician is set to face the Polokwane Magistrates Court on Thursday morning after being arrested for charges of serious violent crime.
The 30-year-old was taken into custody during an intelligence-driven operation in the upmarket Bendor suburb on Wednesday.
Police said several of his vehicles have been seized for forensic analysis as part of the investigation.
The case relates to an alleged road-rage shooting in October, when he allegedly opened fire on another vehicle, leaving a 34-year-old man seriously injured.
The artist has previously made headlines for alleged violent behaviour, including a 2023 assault case and a viral video in 2024 showing him brandishing a large blade, which his lawyer later claimed was a skit.
In 2024, he survived a horrific car crash that claimed the life of his nine-year-old daughter, a tragedy that again put his conduct and public image under scrutiny.
Police confirm the arrest followed a warrant issued earlier this week, with the provincial commissioner praising investigators for theirswift action.
“No one is above the law, regardless of their social standing,” said Limpopo police spokesperson Maselela Ledwaba.
His court appearance is expected to draw significant attention as fans, police, and media gather at the Polokwane Magistrates Court.
