Integrity of matric exams not compromised after bomb threat at Wynberg Girls' High School - WCED

The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) said that the integrity of the National Senior Certificate exam process has not been compromised.
 
This follows a second bomb threat at Wynberg Girls' High School within a matter of days.
 
Police are on scene and the school has been evacuated, while matric pupils have been moved to another facility to prevent the interruption to their exams.
 
Grade 12's are writing Life Sciences Paper 1 on Friday morning.

The department's Bronagh Hammond: "The WCED can confirm that another bomb threat has been made at the school. SAPS is on site and all the necessary safety protocols have been implemented. We did arrange for the secure transportation of the NSC examination papers to an alternative venue and candidates were directed in advance to this location. We can confirm that they are now seated and writing their examinations."
