Police have made a drug bust worth almost R500,000 in Knysna.
Officers on patrol had spotted a suspicious car, parked in the Garden Route town's CBD and while approaching, it sped off.
This led to a high-speed chase that ended on the N2 highway near the Knysna Provincial Hospital.
Police spokesperson Christopher Spies said that two big bags stuffed with dagga were found in the boot of the car.
"The dagga was confiscated and both occupants arrested. The suspects remain in police custody and are expected to make their first court appearance in the Knysna Magistrates Court on Monday. They are facing a charge of dealing in drugs each."
