In Johannesburg, Saturday is forecast to reach around 26 °C, with the night dipping to about 14 °C. Periods of cloud cover are likely, with a thunderstorm possible later in the day. Winds will be moderate, and although the forecast does not show very strong gusts, the shifting skies suggest an energetic afternoon.
On Sunday, the mercury is expected to stay in the mid-20s, around 24 °C, with more sun breaking through but still a risk of isolated storms in the afternoon.
Over in Pretoria, conditions will be similarly warm. Saturday is expected to see a high of roughly 28 °C and a low close to 16 °C, with low morning clouds clearing into sunshine before a potential thunderstorm in the afternoon. Wind speeds are moderate, adding to the typical summer energy in the air.
Sunday brings another warm day at around 28 °C, with a mix of sun and cloud and a chance of thunderstorms later, though the rain is unlikely to be persistent. Evenings will cool.
