A fifth person has been declared dead following a bus crash on the R33 road in Mpumalanga. 

The Department of Community Safety says preliminary investigations reveal that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and overturned. 

Six people were critically injured, while 20 others have minor injuries. 

Emergency services and police remain on scene.
