Police believe four gunmen entered the house in Viscount Street and shot all the victims before fleeing the scene.

Anti-Gang Unit detectives are following several promising leads to track down the shooters.

Mitchells Plain CPF chairperson Norman Jantjes said the escalation of gang and gun violence in the area is very concerning.

"The community is totally traumatised, they feel helpless, and that's why they always call for the involvement of the army and even PAGAD. We call up on people that may have information to please it with the SAPS, and to be vigilant. Because here's a boy that's supposed to be at home which he was and it's supposed to be the safest place for any person and here somebody came in shot and killed him."
