Pop singer Sabrina Carpenter has publicly criticised the White House for using her music without permission.

The White House recently shared a video depicting US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arresting people as Carpenter’s song Juno played in the background.

In the caption, the White House quoted Carpenter’s lyrics: “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye.”

She took to X to express her disapproval, highlighting the importance of artists speaking out against inhumane agendas.

“This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda,” she wrote.

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson doubled down in a statement, which referenced another Carpenter song, Manchild.

“Here's a Short ‘n Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won’t apologise for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?”
