Police Commissioner to visit Saulsville after gunmen kill 12, wound 13

Residents of Saulsville in Pretoria West are still reeling from a mass shooting that claimed the lives of 12 people, including three minors.
On Saturday, three gunmen stormed a tavern at the Saulsville Hostel and opened fire on patrons who had been drinking.
A total of 25 people were shot, with minors aged 3, 12, and 16 among those who tragically lost their lives.

National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola is expected to visit the hostel this afternoon.
MK Party Gauteng Spokesperson Abel Tau says the incident highlights the alarming state of crime in the country.
"It can’t be that 12 people can be killed, 25 shot in total - and you have a situation where all of them were attempted to be murdered in this manner - and we did not pick it up as a country."
