The ANC said delegates attending its National General Council (NGC) will on Tuesday focus on its progress in implementing the National Democratic Revolution (NDR).
The NDR, as it’s known, is an ideological and strategic blueprint of what a democratic South Africa should look like under an ANC-run government.

It includes the dismantling of apartheid’s legacy and leading the country towards a socialist economic model, where there is State ownership of the means of production and wealth distribution.
Delegates attending the NGC at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg have broken off for closed-door commission meetings, where they will be discussing the NDR.
“We are having 10 commissions that are currently in progress, and they are all looking at the state of the NDR in SA and the balance of forces that help us answer the question: what is to be done,” said ANC national spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu.
