As the issue of child hunger persists in the country, the Do More Foundation is on a mission to support those in need during the holiday season.
Speaking to CapeTalk’s Clarence Ford, foundation CEO Warren Farrer says it is all about making a positive impact.
“There are so many people in our country that have so little, and I wonder how many people actually think about that.”
Farrer highlights three ways communities can support the foundation’s efforts and give the gift of impact this festive season:
1. Starting vegetable gardens as a way to provide nutrition and education to children
2. Support the Do More Foundation Shop, where the proceeds go directly to the communities they serve
3. Share books with children to aid early development
Farrer emphasises the need to acknowledge the struggles of others and take the first step towards contributing.
