WEATHER: Showers in Gauteng on Tuesday. Cooler, cloudy Cape Town

According to AccuWeather, Johannesburg and Pretoria are expected to experience warm summer conditions on Tuesday, with isolated thunderstorms and intermittent showers as humidity rises and winds pick up.

Meanwhile, Cape Town is forecast to remain milder, with mostly cloudy skies and a chance of showers in some areas. 

Johannesburg will see highs around the mid-20s with a mix of sun and clouds, possible morning showers giving way to warmer afternoon temperatures and southerly winds strengthening to around 20–30 km/h, and a cooler night ahead.

Pretoria’s forecast points to largely warm and partly cloudy conditions with scattered thundershowers possible in the morning before skies clear and winds remain moderate, leaving nighttime temperatures comfortable.

In Cape Town, expect a milder day under mostly cloudy skies with occasional sunshine, moderate west-south-westerly winds gusting up to 40 km/h and showers likely in spots, especially later in the day, with cooler evening conditions.

Temperatures will be pleasant but not as hot as inland cities, with moist onshore flow keeping humidity up.
