Alleged criminal kingpin and tenderpreneur, Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, paid R20 000 to a member of Gauteng organised crime for a motorbike escort to attend a wedding.

The cop witness F confessed that he has been a long-time bike rider and that Matlala approached him to arrange several motorbikes for a personal escort.

Witness F has been testifying partially on-camera at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, from a remote location due to safety concerns.

He confirmed he quoted Matlala R15 000 for a six-bike escort, but was paid R5000 extra.

"I do confirm that on that particular payment (of R20k), he requested the services of the bikes. I gave him a quotation of R2500 (per bike) that I’ve mentioned. "
