Sibiya claims alleged kingpin 'Cat' Matlala was invited to SAPS awards

Suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya claims that his former subordinate invited an alleged criminal kingpin, Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala to the SAPS Service Excellence Awards.
Sibiya, testifying at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria, suggested that Hilda Senthumule, who is currently acting in his position, had a "questionable" relationship with Matlala.

Earlier, Sibiya played a four-minute recorded telephonic conversation he had with Senthumule, where she alleged that General Fannie Mkhwanazi was involved in a plot to destroy his reputation.
According to Sibiya, Senthumule accepted a donation from Matlala for the service excellence awards.
“It appears that Matlala was invited on instruction of General Senthumule to attend the SAPS Service Excellence Awards and that a donation was accepted from his company, Medicare24,” Sibiya told the commission.
Sibiya said he was in possession of WhatsApp communication suggesting Senthumule invited and accepted a donation from Matlala.
It is further alleged that 10 refrigerators were accepted by Senthumule as a donation from Medicare24.
Sibiya continued with his testimony.
