Australian actor Jacob Elordi is now the favourite to be cast as the next James Bond.
It has been reported that the actor has met with the director and producers of the upcoming film, making him a top contender, 947’s Zweli Mbhele reports.
He surged into popularity following the release of Wuthering Heights and his Oscar nomination for Frankenstein.
At just 28, he would be the youngest actor to play James Bond, and at 195.6 cm, he would also be the tallest.
“He'd also be the second Australian to portray the iconic spy, after George Lazenbee,” Mbhele said.
Elordi joins the long list of names, including Callum Turner, Damson Idris, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Theo James, who have been rumoured to replace Daniel Craig as 007.
Official casting confirmations have not been released.
