Cape Town is in for a wet and windy weekend, with rain and strong gusts dominating conditions, according to AccuWeather.
On Saturday, temperatures are expected to peak at 17°C with a low of 13°C. A couple of morning showers are forecast, with mostly cloudy skies for the rest of the day and north-westerly winds around 22 km/h.
Conditions worsen on Sunday, with occasional rain and strong winds. Gusts could reach up to 70 km/h in the morning. Temperatures remain cool at a high of 17°C and a low of 12°C.
By Monday, there is a slight improvement, with partly sunny conditions and a couple of afternoon showers expected. The temperature will rise slightly to 18°C, with lighter west-north-westerly winds.
Johannesburg faces a mixed bag of clouds, showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday will start cloudy, with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm expected in the morning. Conditions clear slightly in the afternoon, with temperatures reaching 21°C and dipping to 12°C.
On Sunday, a couple of morning showers are expected, followed by mostly cloudy conditions. Temperatures remain steady at 21°C, with light northerly winds.
Thunderstorms return in parts of the city on Monday morning, with mostly cloudy skies for the rest of the day. Temperatures will climb to 23°C.
In Pretoria, thunderstorms and cloud cover dominate the forecast.
Saturday brings rather cloudy conditions with a thunderstorm in one or two spots. Temperatures peak at 23°C, with light northerly winds.
On Sunday, another thunderstorm is possible in the morning, followed by thick cloud cover. Temperatures dip slightly to 22°C.
By Monday, a morning thunderstorm is again expected, with rather cloudy conditions throughout the day and a warmer high of 25°C.
