Forensic investigator Paul O’Sullivan returns to Parliament on Thursday to continue giving evidence before the police ad hoc committee after storming out last week.
O’Sullivan will continue taking outstanding questions from the evidence leader, as well as members of the committee on allegations that he infiltrated the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) in violation of the law.
O’Sullivan can also expect a tongue lashing from members of Parliament MPs who accuse him of being in contempt of Parliament.

O’Sullivan returns a week after he stormed out, saying he had a flight to catch.
The forensic investigator can expect a hostile reception from parties like the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), which even laid a criminal complaint against him with the police.
Former prosecutor Michael Mashuga, who gave evidence on Wednesday, also further implicated O’Sullivan and his former assistant, Sarah Jane Trent, in interfering with IPID investigations.
Mashuga alleged that O’Sullivan even targeted former acting commissioner Khomotso Phahlane to try get him fired.
“Also, extortion against General Phahlane and there was this contravention of Section 33(5) of the IPID Act where they presented themselves and acted like IPID investigators.”
O’Sullivan will resume his evidence before Lt General Hilda Senthumule takes the stand on Friday.
