Mkhwanazi to appear again before Parly inquiry probing police corruption

KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has been scheduled to make another appearance before the Parliament ad hoc committee on Friday.
National Commissioner Fannie Masemola will also make his reappearance before Mkhwanazi, who will bring the ad hoc committee’s hearings to a conclusion.
Evidence leader Norman Arendse briefed members of Parliament (MPs) on Monday morning during a housekeeping meeting of the ad hoc committee investigating allegations of corruption in the criminal justice system.
“Lt General Mkhwnazi on Friday, which will then propose should be a full day. We will also lead his evidence for probably two or three hours and then the committee can question him.”
Lt General Hilda Senthumule, who has been implicated by suspended Deputy National Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya, will appear on Tuesday, following delays to her evidence.
“And then call Lt Genreal Senthumule, who had been scheduled previously and will now be slotted in tomorrow [Tuesday].”
