The assault case involving six former Milnerton High School learners has been postponed.

The six boys, who have since been expelled from the school, made a brief appearance in Cape Town Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.

They’re charged with various counts of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

The charges relate to at least eight incidents of alleged assault on school grounds, including a video that went viral on social media.

The assault case against the six accused former Milnerton High School learners is slowly making progress.

The State on Wednesday indicated its investigation is complete and the case is ready to be transferred to a regional court.

When the six accused appear in court again, they will be joined by two minors who face the same charges related to alleged bullying at the school.

Outside the court, parents of the accused told EWN the case is taking an emotional toll on their children.

The matter was postponed to 24 April 2026 to be transferred to a regional court.
