Two people have been killed in a shootout with police at a petrol station in Durban on Thursday morning.
Three alleged suspects were being chased by officers and private security after allegedly committing a crime in Pinetown.
One suspect fell to his death when he jumped over a wall, while the other one was struck by a bullet.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrieth Jamieson said the third suspect is being questioned by police.
“All necessary services are in attendance the paramedics have declared two people deceased. Avoid this area at all costs at all times, as the scene will be active for quite some time. This is Spine Road by the petrol station near a shopping centre.”
