The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry heard evidence on how Gauteng police officer Sergeant Fannie Nkosi tried to intervene in an invoice dispute between the City of Tshwane and a service provider.
This was despite the fact that Nkosi had no official stake in the company, nor was he employed by the metro.
The incident is part of a long list of questions Nkosi is being asked in relation to his relationship with several senior officials in the capital.

In March last year, Tshwane metro police deputy chief Umashi Dlamini messaged Nkosi about a service provider who was complaining about their invoices not being paid by the municipality.
Nkosi forwarded the message to his friend, Tshwane’s chief financial officer Gareth Mnisi.
There were a number of back-and-forth exchanges between the three men, with Nkosi acting as an intermediary between the two senior officials.
Matthew Chaskalson, Evidence leader: “What business of yours was it to start sorting out disputes between the city and its supplier?”
FN: “I was only helping the CFO with the frustration that the service provider was threatening to take the city to court. As a result, the CFO was getting frustrated and as a friend, I was getting worried.”
The service provider in question was Gubis Security Services, believed to be linked to taxi boss Joe Sibanyoni.
