Ekurhuleni Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza is set to deliver his first State of the City Address on Wednesday morning at the OR Tambo Government Precinct

The address, delivered during a special council sitting, will reflect on 2025’s progress, highlighting key challenges and set priorities for the city's financial year ahead.

City regional secretary Jongizizwe Dlabathi said renewed efforts to improve service delivery will be at the heart of the mayor’s speech.

"The call by the mayor to renew public administration has been given effect by fixing the front line, which in turn contributes to the call to fix local government, particularly to make sure that there is visible and impactful service delivery."
