JOHANNESBURG - The Multi-Party Charter for South Africa says the African National Congress (ANC) is terrified of losing power, accusing the ruling party of already making excuses for what it says is inevitable.
At the closing of the ANC's lekgotla on Tuesday, ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa told his party members to prepare for a backlash on both the domestic and international front.
Ramaphosa said this was due to the ANC-run government’s stance on the Israel-Palestine matter, and its recent favourable outcome at the International Court of Justice.
However, DA leader John Steenhuisen said the charter would achieve a government change through democratic processes such as the upcoming general elections.
