Abantu Creatives bring the legendary play ‘Woza Albert!’ back to Pretoria on Tuesday, 19 August 2025.
The timeless masterpiece brings history alive with bold energy, accessible storytelling, and unforgettable performances from acclaimed creatives Hamilton Dhlamini and Thulani Mtsweni.
The production explores the harsh realities of apartheid through sharp satire and the perspectives of vivid characters.
Particularly, their focus is on Grade 10 learners who may be covering the play as part of their setwork.
“It’s important that the learners are aware that as a country we are still feeling the effects of that system...”
– Ipeleng Keamogetswe Matlhaku, co-founder and producer – Abantu Creative Projects
The play takes place at Abantu Creative at 012 Central, 387 Helen Joseph Street, Pretoria.
