The City of Johannesburg said a collapsed building where eight people died in Ormonde will be demolished in the south of Johannesburg.
Parts of the second-floor deck of the structure caved in on Monday, trapping construction workers beneath the rubble.

Emergency crews are searching for a third person at the site who remains unaccounted for.
Mayor Dada Morero has confirmed that the city had not approved any plans for the construction to take place, meaning it was done illegally.
“The city is likely to take a decision, once we’ve assessed the whole report that we will take steps to demolish the structure because it is non-compliant with our by-laws.”
